Beth leads national strategic pursuits, marketing, and proposal management for WSP USA, one of the world’s leading professional services consulting and engineering firms. As National Strategic Pursuits, Marketing & Proposal Manager, she drives high-stakes pursuit coordination, strategic positioning, and proposal excellence across WSP’s diverse practice areas serving transportation, infrastructure, buildings, environmental, energy, water, and advisory sectors nationwide.

Her expertise spans AEC strategic marketing with specialized knowledge in business development, marketing strategy, public relations, communications, corporate branding, relationship building, event planning, and market research across architecture, construction, and engineering disciplines. Beth brings comprehensive understanding of complex proposal development gained through progressive experience supporting architecture firms, construction companies, engineering consultancies, and developer/project management organizations throughout Connecticut and beyond.

With over 20 years of professional experience in the AEC industry, Beth has built a distinguished career characterized by strategic innovation, exceptional mentorship, and unwavering commitment to advancing both firm excellence and professional community development. Her comprehensive knowledge enables effective marketing leadership for one of the world’s largest design and consultancy firms with 69,000+ employees operating across six continents.

Prior to joining WSP, Beth served as Director of Business Development at GRE (commercial real estate project management) from 2020 to 2023, where she developed new business relationships, maintained client partnerships, and served as chief marketing strategist supporting the firm’s national market expansion in life sciences, office, industrial, and hospitality sectors. Her career includes 10 years with Gilbane Building Company Connecticut (2010-2020) in business development and marketing leadership roles, where she built her reputation as an exceptional mentor and strategic marketing professional.

Beth’s earlier career foundation includes positions with BBE Architects (Director of Marketing + Business Development) and other Connecticut AEC firms, building comprehensive expertise across architecture, engineering, and construction sectors that positions her for national strategic pursuits leadership at WSP.

Industry leadership

Beth demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement, LEED Accredited Professional credential, and transformative volunteer service advancing Connecticut’s AEC professional community through SMPS Connecticut. Her most notable achievement includes serving as Conference Chair for the SMPS Northeast Regional Conference held May 9-11 in New Haven, Connecticut—an event recognized by attendees as “one of the best professional development conferences” in the region.

A colleague’s testimonial captures Beth’s conference leadership impact: “Beth’s leadership and discipline over a 6 month period in planning the SMPS Northeast Regional Conference May 9-11th in New Haven, CT resulted in one of the best professional development conferences I’ve had the pleasure to attend. She served her company and Connecticut SMPS well. She inspired the volunteer committee to get it done on time, and they did. She served with uncommon leadership and grace under pressure.”

Beyond conference leadership, Beth actively contributes to SMPS Connecticut through committee participation, program development, and ongoing chapter engagement that strengthens professional development opportunities for hundreds of AEC marketing professionals throughout Connecticut and the broader Northeast region. Her commitment extends to supporting chapter initiatives including CPSM study programs, student career day presentations, mentorship cohort programs, and industry conference panel participation.

As a passionate mentor, Beth’s impact on emerging professionals is profound. A former supervisee describes her influence: “I was fortunate to have Beth as my supervisor upon entering the AEC industry. She is so knowledgeable of the ins-and-outs of AEC marketing and was an enthusiastic mentor from the start. Beth is patient, strategic, and committed to managing a marketing department that produces quality work under stringent deadlines. In the nearly 3 years we worked together she was charged with showing me the ropes as we met seemingly countless proposal deadlines, executed a brand refresh, designed a new website, integrated a merged firm’s portfolio, prioritized employee engagement, expanded to new markets, showcased at trade shows and so much more. She juggles an unimaginable amount of responsibilities and makes our firm look good, every day! I will miss working with Beth and anyone who has the opportunity to learn from her or hire her in the future will be lucky.”

Beth’s professional development philosophy emphasizes patience, strategic thinking, and commitment to quality under pressure—values that have shaped numerous careers and strengthened Connecticut’s AEC marketing community. Her dedication to mentorship creates lasting impact extending far beyond individual projects or deadlines.
