Agate Construction Wins $10.6M Army Corps Contract for Bar Harbor Breakwater Repair

Agate Construction Co. Inc.,* Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for breakwater repair in Bar Harbor, Maine. The amount of this action is $10,617,500. Bids were solicited via the internet with five received. Work will be performed in Bar Harbor, Maine, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 11, 2028. Fiscal 2022 construction, Corps of Engineers, civil funds in the amount of $5,820,000; and fiscal 2025 construction, Corps of Engineers, civil funds in the amount of $4,797,500, were obligated at the time of the award.
