Coastal Medical Transportation Systems Proud to Provide EMS Support for 128th Boston Marathon
HYANNIS, Mass. – Coastal Medical Transportation Systems (CMTS), a privately owned and operated medical transportation company dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with compassion, dignity and respect for customers and their patients, today announced that they will again support the Boston Marathon Medical Deployment during the 128th Boston Marathon on April 15, 2024. Under the terms of the partnership, CMTS will work in close collaboration with state public safety agencies, the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) Ambulance Strike Team, providing primary EMS support to the company’s 9-1-1 partners, Brookline, Newton, and its newest contract Wellesley. In total CMTS will have over 100 personnel located up and down the 26.2 mile marathon route across the greater Boston area.

Personnel provided by CMTS on race day will include 38 ambulances, bike teams, mobile medical teams on Gators, tactical EMS, communication personnel, and command staff. In addition to offering primary EMS support to Brookline, Newton, and Wellesley CMTS will be supporting the BAA Medical tents in Natick, Wellesley, and Newton.

We are ready for race day.”
The Boston Marathon is the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s best-known road racing events with a course running from Hopkinton in southern Middlesex County to Copley Square in Boston. The event traditionally attracts over 500,000 spectators along the route, making it New England’s most viewed sporting event annually.
