Your Passport to Opportunity: Which Certification is Right for Me?” A socioeconmic certification webinar hosted by the Kentucky APEX Accelerator is January 11 at 11 a.m. ET.

Socioeconomic certification verifies that your business is at least 51% owned, managed, controlled and operated by a minority, woman or veteran. This webinar will explain the history and importance of socioeconomic certification, certification eligibility criteria and certification application process. We will also discuss the certifications accepted by the city of Lexington’s Minority Business Enterprise Program (MBEP). In addition, you will learn if your business qualifies as a Section 3 contractor through the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s (LFUCG) Division of Grants and Special Programs.
