SBA 70th Anniversary Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and District Office Open House

SBA’s Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office cordially invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house commemorating the agency’s 70th Anniversary. This special event marks the beginning of SBA’s anniversary month, recognizing its steadfast commitment to small business development and economic growth.

Following the ribbon cutting, local business owners, chambers, entrepreneurs, government officials, resource partners, and community members will have the opportunity to explore the district office and visit with staff members and resource partners to learn more about SBA’s resources, programs, and services.

On July 30, 1953, President Dwight Eisenhower signed the Small Business Act into law, creating the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) with the mission to “aid, counsel, assist and protect, insofar as is possible, the interests of small business concerns.”
