The Navy’s Program Executive Office (PEO) for Unmanned Aviation & Strike Weapons (U&W) Industry Event 2023 – 26, 27 & 28 September 2023
The Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons (PEO(U&W)) is planning to host an Industry Event in order to provide opportunities for industry to learn about the technology needs of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PEO(U&W) and the Navy’s Unmanned Community with the potential for follow-on briefings regarding technologies that industry has developed.
INDUSTRY EVENT SPECIFICS
PEO(U&W)’s Industry Event 2023 will take place on 26, 27 & 28 September 2023. This Industry Event will consist of the following: DAY ONE of the event will be held at the SECRET level and will be in-person only in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. DAY TWO & DAY THREE of the event will be UNCLASSIFIED, open to the public who have registered in advance to attend and will be both in-person in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland as well as virtual via live-streaming. DAY THREE of the event will be a follow-on to the Navy Unmanned Industry Event held on 1-3 March 2023 and will constitute the second Department of the Navy (DoN) Industry Outreach Event required by the FY23 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA FY23).
DAY ONE: 26 September 2023 (SECRET)
“DAY ONE” of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will consist of SECRET briefings and one SECRET/NOFORN briefing with three main focus areas: 1. “The Threat“; 2. “The Fight Tonight”; and 3. “The Fight Tomorrow & How Industry Can Help.” This opportunity is open to military, government and industry U.S. Citizens with a final SECRET clearance. Only contractors or sub-contractors performing a current DoD or Federal Intelligence Community contract with a current DD254 will be allowed to attend. A current DD254 authorizing access to national intelligence information will be required to attend the Threat Brief at the classification level of SECRET/NOFORN.
The location for DAY ONE will be in southern Maryland on or near the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. The exact location of the DAY ONE event will only be disclosed to individuals once clearance is verified, need-to-know confirmed and registration completed. DAY TWO: 27 September 2023 (UNCLASSIFIED)
“DAY TWO” of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will consist of both in-person and live-streamed UNCLASSIFIED briefings and is open to the public who have registered in advance to attend. DAY TWO’s focus areas will include: 1. a PEO(U&W) Portfolio Review of Strike Weapons, Targets & Mission Planning, followed by a panel discussion/Question & Answer (Q&A); 2. “Rapid Capability Insertion” which will include presentations on upcoming exercises and events and how Industry can participate as well as Capability Briefs from the Naval Air Warfare Centers (NAWC) – both the Aircraft Division (AD) and Weapons Division (WD), the Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) followed by a panel discussion/Q&A and 3. presentations on Supporting Small Business. Additional presentations and live panel Q&A may also occur. Questions may be submitted in advance or real-time during this event. DAY THREE: 28 September 2023 (UNCLASSIFIED)
“DAY THREE” of the PEO(U&W) Industry Event 2023 will constitute the second DoN Industry Outreach Event required by the NDAA FY23. DAY THREE will consist of both in-person and live-streamed UNCLASSIFIED briefings and is open to the public who have registered in advance to attend. DAY THREE’s focus areas will include a PEO(U&W) Portfolio Review of Unmanned Aviation and Mission Planning and presentations on aviation, surface and subsurface unmanned systems, and Autonomy & Artificial Intelligence. Questions may be submitted in advance or real-time during this event. Details on how to submit questions in advance or real-time during this live session will be provided once registration is confirmed. REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO ATTEND IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY
Due to space limitations, please limit in-person Industry attendance for each day to no more than two representatives per company. There is no limit to the number of virtual attendees for Day Two or Day Three. Registration for in-person attendance will be based on a first come, first served basis and will close when full or NO LATER than 1600 Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). Registration for virtual attendance will close at noon on 22 September 2023 for DAY TWO and DAY THREE.
