Marketing to the Federal Government Using the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)

Hosted by

SBA's West Virginia, Maine and Delaware District Offices.

WHEN: Thursday, February 15, 2024

FPDS is a publicly accessible federal government database documenting historic and real-time federal government contracting activity.

That FPDS data can effectively shape marketing strategies to sell to the federal government, because that data can be used to understand which agencies buy what and when, when contracts are likely to come up for bid in the future, and more. SBA’s ‘Introduction to FPDS’ webinar teaches how to use FPDS data to determine:  if/when federal agencies buy your product/service; which federal agencies buy your product/service; from whom federal agencies have previously purchased your product/service (including whether contracts were set aside for small businesses and/or small businesses with federal contracting certifications—8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, HUBZone, and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses); how much federal agencies have spent on your product/service; when current federal contracts will expire and, by inference, when new solicitations may be put out for bid; and more.

This webinar details how to craft and use FPDS queries and reports to transform FPDS data into actionable marketing strategies.  This webinar is provided by SBA’s West Virginia, Maine and Delaware District Offices.
