How to Do Business with the Louisville Regional Airport Authority
Kentucky Apex Accelerator
Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA), an autonomous municipal corporation created by state law, is responsible for owning, operating and developing Louisville’s two major airports. The forerunner of LRAA was established in 1928 by the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s General Assembly and was the first authority-type governed airport in the United States.
Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport offers nonstop service to more than 35 destinations and ranks third in North America (and fifth in the world) in the total amount of cargo handled. And Louisville’s first airport, Bowman Field, has been a continuously operating general aviation airport for more than 100 years. LRAA also has responsibility for the Louisville Renaissance Zone Corporation (LRZC) and Business Park, located within two miles of Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, two interstate highways and a major rail line.
One of LRAA’s goals is to establish and maintain business relationships that will help both customers and the city of Louisville.
Join us as Brenda D. Perry, LRAA’s Senior Vice President, Chief Legal & Administrative Officer, explains how to do business with Louisville’s airports, including under its program for the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBEs) and Small Business Enterprises (SBEs).
