Tiffany leads comprehensive business management and marketing consulting strategy for Manageability LLC, one of Hawaii’s premier consulting firms exclusively serving the built environment since 2015. As Principal and Co-Owner at this woman-owned, small-disadvantaged entity based in Honolulu’s vibrant Kakaako neighborhood at Entrepreneurs Sandbox, she drives strategic planning, client relationship development, and operational excellence for a specialized practice serving architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors across Hawaii’s unique AEC marketplace.
Her expertise spans AEC strategic marketing with specialized knowledge in marketing and business development consulting, business management and operations consulting, executive and staff-level leadership training and development, and facilitation services for design charrettes, partnering sessions, and strategic planning workshops. Tiffany brings comprehensive understanding of Hawaii’s built environment gained through progressive experience spanning marketing coordinator, business development coordinator, marketing manager, and principal-level leadership roles across multiple sectors of the islands’ architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
With over 17 years of professional experience in the AEC industry since graduating from University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Shidler College of Business in 2008, Tiffany has built a distinguished career characterized by strategic innovation, collaborative leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing both client success and professional community development. Her comprehensive knowledge of Manageability’s full-service consulting approach enables effective leadership for a firm that integrates marketing expertise with management consulting, executive training, and innovative technology solutions including drone services for infrastructure assessment and professional photography/videography.
Founded in 2015 by Mark Tawara, FSMPS, CPSM (2009 SMPS National Chapter President of the Year), Manageability has earned recognition as Hawaii’s trusted partner for built environment firms seeking strategic marketing, management, and technology solutions. Tiffany’s path to co-ownership exemplifies the transformative power of mentorship—having met Mark at the 2008 Shidler Business Night event as a marketing student, worked under his leadership at Belt Collins Hawaii as marketing intern and full-time marketing/information resources assistant, maintained professional relationships across organizations, joined Manageability as marketing and administrative manager in 2019, and advanced to principal and co-owner in 2022.
This journey from student mentee to business co-owner represents what University of Hawaii describes as “the epitome of what Business Night is meant to be—fostering relationships between students and local business professionals.” Tiffany’s advancement transformed Manageability into a woman-owned small business, enhancing the firm’s ability to serve diverse clients and pursue certifications including Hawaii Department of Transportation’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) federal certification.
Tiffany demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and extensive volunteer service advancing Hawaii’s AEC professional community through SMPS Hawaii, American Institute of Architects (AIA) Honolulu, American Council of Engineering Companies of Hawaii (ACECH), and Child and Family Service Guild. Her current role as SMPS Hawaii Ex-Officio board member builds on years of active chapter engagement and committee service supporting professional development, networking, and industry advancement across the Hawaiian Islands.
As a passionate advocate for community impact, Tiffany serves in her second year co-chairing the AIA Honolulu CANstruction® event, a nationally recognized competition where architects, engineers, contractors, and students design and build large-scale structures entirely from canned food. This signature event supporting Hawaii Foodbank has donated over 743,690 pounds of canned goods and raised $110,000 for hunger relief across Hawaii—demonstrating how AEC professionals can leverage their design skills for meaningful social impact. Tiffany’s co-chair leadership coordinates participating teams, judges, sponsors, and public engagement that makes CANstruction® one of Hawaii’s most visible community service initiatives.
Beyond professional association leadership, Tiffany demonstrates remarkable dedication to mentorship and educational access through active engagement with University of Hawaii at Manoa Shidler College of Business students. She provides scholarships, hires interns, and regularly shares her own journey from 2008 Business Night student to business co-owner, inspiring emerging professionals to pursue AEC marketing careers. This commitment to “paying it forward” reflects gratitude for the mentorship that shaped her own career trajectory and dedication to creating opportunities for Hawaii’s next generation of business leaders.
Tiffany’s professional development journey includes participation in YWCA Oahu’s YWahine in Business Accelerator program led by Mariko Gordon, which deepened her understanding of financial reports, enhanced her confidence to plan for business growth, and connected her with U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) resources supporting business certifications. Working with YWCA Oahu’s Senior Manager Valerie Kubota through Central Pacific Bank’s WE by Rising Tide program, Tiffany strengthened her financial literacy and developed strategic roadmaps for expanding Manageability including hiring employees and attracting new clients.
As a result of this professional development work, Manageability achieved certification under the Hawaii Department of Transportation’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, positioning the firm for state and federal contract opportunities while maintaining its commitment to small business excellence. Tiffany’s pursuit of Women-Owned Small Business certification through SBA resources further demonstrates strategic business development acumen and commitment to leveraging available programs that support diverse business ownership.
Her leadership philosophy emphasizes the transformative power of mentorship, having built her entire career through connections beginning with meeting Mark Tawara at a 2008 UH Manoa event. Tiffany’s documented commitment to student mentorship, internship programs, and professional development reflects values of reciprocity, community investment, and belief that meaningful connections create pathways to professional success.
