As Principal and Owner of Teena Videriksen Consulting, Teena provides strategic guidance and business development expertise to architecture and design firms across the Pacific region. Her consulting practice focuses on positioning strategies, client relationship development, and marketing team leadership for firms seeking to elevate their market presence and win rates.
With over 25 years of AEC industry experience, Teena has provided marketing leadership and strategic planning for both architectural practices and global multi-disciplinary engineering firms. Her career includes distinguished roles at LMN Architects, where she served as Principal and Director of Business Development for nearly eight years, and at Arup, where she led business development efforts in Los Angeles for over eleven years. She has also held senior marketing positions at NBBJ, Dworsky Associates (now CannonDesign), and Barton Myers Associates.
Raised within an architectural family, Teena brings a unique passion for architecture and design that distinguishes her approach to professional services marketing. Her expertise spans arts and culture, corporate campuses, education, government, healthcare, research, sports and entertainment, infrastructure, and transportation sectors. She specializes in strategic market research, disciplined pursuit and win strategies, marketing content development, and collaborative relationship building both internally and externally.
Throughout her career, Teena has consistently elevated firm reputations through strategic positioning, resulting in significant revenue increases, industry awards, publications, and overall firm growth.
Teena is recognized as a pioneering force and one of the most respected business development professionals in the AEC industry. Her CPSM certification represents her commitment to professional excellence and mastery of marketing best practices for professional services firms. As an AIA Allied Professional (Assoc. AIA), she maintains strong connections with the architectural community and contributes to the advancement of design excellence.
During her tenure at LMN Architects from 2016 to 2023, Teena played a key leadership role at a firm that received the 2016 AIA National Architecture Firm Award—the highest honor the American Institute of Architects bestows on an architecture firm. She directed business development activities across all sectors of LMN’s work, with a focus on strategic partnering, firm visibility, and client relations for a 120-person firm recognized for sustainability leadership and civic-minded design.
Her leadership at Arup in Los Angeles contributed to significant infrastructure achievements, including the LAX Central Utilities Plant, which became the first sustainable utility plant at any US airport and achieved LEED Gold certification. Teena’s strategic approach to business development has consistently delivered results: firms she has represented have experienced significant increases in revenue, industry recognition, and market share.
As a strategic partner, team-builder, advocate, and mentor, Teena is adept at fostering relationships both internally and externally. Her consulting practice now extends this expertise to firms throughout Seattle and Los Angeles, helping design firms develop positioning strategies, improve pursuit processes, and build sustainable business development capabilities.
