As Director of Marketing for a 100% employee-owned sports turf company founded in 1977 with over 100 team members, she oversees brand management, campaign development, digital content strategy, and client relationship development for one of the world’s most recognized and highly respected turf system specialists serving professional, collegiate, and community athletic facilities.
Her expertise spans sports turf marketing, construction services, and facilities management with deep specialization in creative brand development, advanced-level graphic design, and multi-channel marketing campaigns. Sarah brings comprehensive knowledge of client-centered, sales-driven marketing backed by proven results gained through 20+ years of progressive experience that has contributed to Motz’s recognition as a Cincinnati Top Workplace for five consecutive years and its expansion from local roots to national prominence.
Her educational foundation from the University of Cincinnati in Communication provides distinctive capabilities in translating technical field construction expertise into accessible narratives that resonate with athletic directors, facility managers, professional sports teams, educational institutions, and community recreation departments. Her tenure encompasses one of the most transformative periods in company history—the 2018 transition to 100% employee ownership through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)—positioning her as both a marketing leader and an employee-owner invested in the company’s long-term success.
As Director of Marketing, Sarah has played a pivotal role in evolving Motz’s brand identity and market positioning during a period of significant organizational growth. Her leadership contributed to the company’s brand refresh in 2022 when multiple business units consolidated under the unified “Motz” banner, accompanied by the tagline “Performance Is Built” that emphasizes the company’s energy, commitment, and dedication to customers, partners, employee-owners, and communities served.
Sarah’s creative expertise and “out-of-the-box” thinking has supported Motz through multiple milestone achievements, including five consecutive years of recognition as a Cincinnati Top Workplace (2019-2023), groundbreaking of the company’s new headquarters campus in Newtown (2022), and expansion of the Motz365 maintenance program serving over 750 fields nationwide. Her marketing leadership helps communicate the company’s comprehensive value proposition spanning synthetic turf field construction, natural grass systems, premium organic infills (Safeshell), and industry-leading maintenance services.
