Sara leads strategic marketing initiatives for Stantec’s Water practice, one of North America’s most comprehensive water infrastructure design and consulting firms. As Senior Marketing Specialist, she supports business development and proposal coordination for water and wastewater treatment, watershed management, and water utility projects serving municipal and industrial clients throughout the Southeast.
Her expertise spans water and wastewater infrastructure, utility services, watershed management, and environmental services serving public sector water utilities, municipal governments, and water resources agencies. Sara brings specialized knowledge in qualifications-based proposal management, strategic pursuit coordination, and client relationship development across water treatment, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure markets.
With 17 years of AEC industry experience spanning landscape architecture, MEP engineering, and water infrastructure consulting, she has contributed to marketing excellence at prominent firms including Floura Teeter Landscape Architects, MBP, and Stantec. Her marketing degree from Loyola University Maryland combined with deep industry knowledge enables effective positioning of complex technical capabilities for competitive water infrastructure pursuits. Sara’s experience spans both regional boutique firms and global engineering organizations, providing valuable perspective on marketing strategies across different firm scales and market approaches.
Sara demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement in 2013 and sustained active involvement in SMPS across multiple chapters. As an active SMPS Atlanta member with previous leadership experience in SMPS Maryland, Sara has contributed to chapter programming, professional development, and industry networking that benefits hundreds of AEC marketing professionals. During her tenure with SMPS Maryland, she earned multiple chapter recognitions including the 2013 Committee Member of the Year award and the 2014-2015 Rising Star award, and received the 2014 Build Business Conference Scholarship. She also served on the SMPS Maryland Board of Directors, contributing strategic guidance and chapter leadership during a period of significant chapter growth and development.
