Julie provides comprehensive marketing operations consulting as Owner of Marketing Operations Advisor, a firm she founded in 2024 to help AEC companies improve the business of marketing. Her specialized practice focuses on marketing operations—where marketing proves its influence over company revenue through strategy, marketing technology implementation, process optimization, data analysis, and budgeting. She delivers services in B2B SaaS marketing, go-to-market strategy, marketing department growth, and technology-enabled performance measurement.
With over 20 years of AEC industry experience and extensive B2B SaaS expertise, she brings unique perspective bridging traditional construction marketing with cutting-edge technology platforms. Julie previously served as Head of Marketing at Beck Technology for 12 years, where she positioned DESTINI Estimator and the preconstruction technology suite within the construction industry, measured brand awareness using advanced techniques, and drove exponential company growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
Her consulting expertise spans marketing operations frameworks, CRM and marketing automation implementation, data-driven decision-making, brand positioning, product launches, content strategy, and marketing team development. Julie works with firms ranging from small architecture practices to technology companies serving the construction sector, bringing fluency in both technical marketing tools and AEC industry dynamics.
Julie holds the distinguished Fellow of SMPS (FSMPS) designation, representing the highest level of professional recognition within the Society for Marketing Professional Services. This prestigious honor recognizes her sustained contributions to advancing AEC marketing excellence through leadership, education, and service spanning 20+ years of active SMPS participation.
Her SMPS leadership journey includes serving as President of SMPS North Texas (formerly SMPS Dallas), one of the largest and most active chapters in the Society, along with extensive board service and committee leadership. She received the Pacesetter Award in 2012 and the Best Speaker Award in 2020 for her dynamic presentations on marketing technology and business operations.
At the national level, Julie has served as SMPS Board of Directors At-Large Director, guiding Society-wide initiatives and representing member interests. She served on the Build Business (now Amplify A|E|C) Conference Planning Committee in 2017, helping design educational programming and networking experiences for the premier AEC marketing conference. In 2016, she co-emceed the national Marketing Communication Awards with Alec Gleason, bringing energy and professionalism to the Society’s signature recognition program.
Julie serves as Trustee on the SMPS Foundation Board, supporting research and scholarships that advance the AEC marketing profession. She is a member of the Marketer Magazine Editorial Committee, contributing thought leadership and helping shape the publication’s strategic direction.
