Ree leads industry-government engagement programming at the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), where she fosters collaboration between public and private sectors to address national security infrastructure challenges. As Program Manager, she facilitates partnerships among military, government, and industry professionals across architecture, engineering, construction, and related disciplines. Her role connects over 25,000 SAME members through strategic programming, leader development initiatives, and professional networking opportunities.
Her expertise spans business development strategy, marketing leadership, and organizational development within the AEC industry. Ree brings specialized knowledge in federal sector engagement, having worked with government agencies, military installations, and private sector firms on infrastructure and security projects. With 26 years of comprehensive experience in professional services marketing, she has contributed to major firms including PRIME AE Group, Gannett Fleming, and EBA Engineering.
Ree’s unique approach combines strategic business development with human-centered leadership philosophy, emphasizing mentorship, diversity and inclusion advocacy, and building collaborative relationships that drive meaningful industry impact.
Ree demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her FSMPS designation and extensive contributions to both SMPS and SAME organizations. As a Fellow of SMPS—a distinction held by fewer than 2% of SMPS members nationwide—she represents the highest level of achievement in professional services marketing leadership. Her fellowship recognizes sustained contributions to advancing the AEC marketing profession through mentorship, thought leadership, and organizational service.
She served as SMPS Maryland Chapter President during 2016-2017, helping the chapter achieve consecutive Chapter of the Year recognitions. Ree continues contributing to SMPS Maryland as a Senior Advisory Council member, providing strategic guidance to current chapter leadership. At the national level, she served as Cohort Leader for the 2023 SMPS Chapter Leader Symposium, mentoring chapter presidents across multiple states including Central Pennsylvania, Charlotte, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, and Upstate New York.
Within SAME, Ree graduated from the prestigious Leadership Development Program in 2021—selected as one of only 18 participants nationally. She now serves as the National Office Point of Contact for SAME’s Leader Development Community of Interest, supporting leadership development initiatives across the organization. Ree facilitates the Maryland Leadership and Mentoring Program, developing the next generation of AEC industry leaders.
As a recognized diversity, equity, and inclusion advocate, Ree completed Cornell University’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate program and serves as Chair of the CMAA Baltimore Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She speaks regularly at conferences on DEIB topics, including presentations at SAME and SMPS national events. Her holistic approach to professional development extends to certified personal training (NASM-CPT), where she applies the same philosophy of helping people exceed their own expectations to health and wellness coaching.
