Professional expertise

As Principal and founding partner of catena consulting engineers, Paige brings comprehensive marketing and business development expertise to one of Portland’s award-winning structural engineering firms. Since co-founding the firm in 2005, she has built catena into a respected practice specializing in creative structural solutions for clients throughout the Pacific Northwest, with particular strength in higher education, healthcare, and civic markets.

Her leadership role extends beyond traditional marketing to encompass financial management and human resources responsibilities, reflecting the multifaceted nature of building and sustaining a successful engineering practice. Paige has guided catena’s growth through two decades of client relationship development and strategic positioning, helping establish the firm’s reputation for client-focused service and innovative structural design.

With 30+ years of AEC industry experience, Paige’s career includes distinguished marketing leadership positions at Degenkolb Engineers, where she served as Marketing Manager for nearly nine years, and KPFF Consulting Engineers, where she developed her foundation in structural engineering marketing. Her University of Oregon business administration background combined with deep structural engineering market knowledge enables her to bridge technical excellence with effective business development.

catena consulting engineers has achieved over $5.5 billion in construction volume throughout the Pacific Northwest, working with leading architects, contractors, and owner/developers across healthcare facilities, higher education campuses, civic buildings, retail developments, and commercial projects. The firm’s commitment to connections—with clients, design partners, employees, and community—reflects Paige’s philosophy of relationship-driven business development.

Industry leadership

Paige has demonstrated sustained leadership within the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), serving on the SMPS Oregon Board of Directors for four years in key governance roles. She served as Secretary from September 2013 to August 2015, followed by two years as Director at Large from August 2011 to August 2013. Her board service provided strategic guidance for one of SMPS’s most active regional chapters, supporting programming that serves over 200 professional services marketers throughout Oregon.

Her CPSM certification reflects her commitment to professional excellence and mastery of marketing best practices for the AEC industry. Paige has contributed her expertise to the broader SMPS community as a juror for the Marketing Communications Awards (MCA) in 2018, evaluating marketing excellence submissions from AEC firms nationwide. This volunteer service demonstrates her dedication to advancing professional standards and recognizing outstanding work across the industry.

As a founding partner of catena consulting engineers, Paige has built an award-winning structural engineering firm recognized for innovation and client service excellence. Her entrepreneurial leadership over 20 years has created a practice that values connections with clients, design partners, and the community. The firm’s collaborative culture and focus on creative structural solutions reflect her business development philosophy of building lasting relationships rather than transactional engagements.

Beyond her professional achievements, Paige maintains active involvement in the Portland community. Her former service with Mt.
