With over 25 years of specialized experience in the AEC industry, Misty brings deep expertise in construction, engineering, electrical contracting, and multi-sector design firm marketing. Her specializations span commercial construction, infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and public sector
projects. She has particular strength in building marketing departments from the ground up, leading major brand initiatives, and guiding firms through complex transitions including acquisitions and organizational change.

Misty’s leadership in AEC marketing spans national, regional, and local levels, establishing her as one of the profession’s most respected voices. Named a Fellow of SMPS in 2019, she earned this highest professional recognition for 15+ years of excellence and sustained contributions to advancing the AEC marketing profession. Her SMPS Oklahoma leadership began as chapter president in 2005-2006, where she helped build the foundation of what is now a thriving 100+ member chapter. The chapter recognized her lasting impact with Hall of Fame induction in 2017.
Her national SMPS service includes multiple committee appointments spanning Education, Marketing Communications Awards, and Striving for Excellence initiatives. As a 2016 SMPS Southern Regional Conference speaker, Misty shared expertise with hundreds of regional professionals, and she continues to serve as an MCA Awards juror, helping set industry standards for marketing excellence.
Misty’s 17-year tenure at Flintco included leading the firm’s first comprehensive brand refresh and guiding marketing strategy through a major acquisition. At Oil Capital Electric, she built the company’s first-ever marketing department, launched award-winning digital presence, and implemented systems that decreased hiring time by 50% and onboarding time by 70%.
