Megan leads comprehensive marketing strategy and team development for Guidon Design, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) nationally recognized for transforming healthcare, government, education, and community projects through sustainable architecture and engineering excellence. As Director of Marketing, she develops and executes marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility and market reach for a 50+ person firm operating Indiana’s first LEED v4 Platinum building—a 70% solar-powered, net-zero ready headquarters that sets the standard for sustainability and wellness in Indianapolis.
Her expertise encompasses strategic planning, marketing communications, proposal writing, email marketing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration for projects serving federal healthcare facilities, municipal infrastructure, educational institutions, and urban in-fill developments. Megan brings specialized knowledge in team leadership, process evolution, and content creation across multiple platforms including social media, website development, and marketing collateral production. With over 12 years of comprehensive AEC industry experience, she has contributed to marketing excellence at F.A. Wilhelm Construction Company—one of Indiana’s most established construction firms—where she advanced from Marketing Coordinator through Senior Marketer to Virtual Construction Engineer roles.
Her unique background combines journalism training from Ball State University with operational quality assurance experience at Angie’s List, providing exceptional communication standards and customer-focused marketing strategies that position complex technical services for competitive advantage throughout the Midwest healthcare, government, and community development sectors.
Megan demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and distinguished service as President-Elect of SMPS Indiana, positioning her to lead one of the Midwest’s most active AEC marketing chapters beginning in September 2025. Her progressive SMPS leadership journey includes serving as Education Committee Chair, where she coordinates educational programming, facilitates CPSM study groups, and provides critical resources for CPSM candidates and designates pursuing professional certification throughout Indiana.
As Education Committee Chair, Megan has been responsible for planning and coordinating semi-annual educational seminars selected from SMPS’s “Six Domains of Practice,” enabling participants to thoroughly study topics through interactive programming that advances the entire regional AEC marketing community. Her committee leadership extends beyond traditional educational sessions to include guiding CPSM study groups and providing necessary documentation and support for professionals pursuing the industry’s gold standard certification.
At Guidon Design, Megan’s leadership supports a firm that has been selected as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work four times, reflecting the collaborative and empowering culture she champions through her marketing team management. Guidon’s distinctive achievements under her tenure include working on the landmark Julia M. Carson Transit Center—Indianapolis’s $26.5 million mass transit hub transforming downtown mobility—and leading sustainability initiatives that resulted in Guidon receiving the 2018 Indianapolis Sustainability Award for Outstanding Business Advancing Sustainability.
Her work at Guidon encompasses federal healthcare infrastructure projects including West Haven VA Medical Center problem-solving initiatives, Puerto Rico VA hospital campus master planning following hurricane impacts ($700+ million in construction improvements), and transformative community projects like the Assessment & Intervention Center providing shelter and services to individuals experiencing homelessness, substance abuse, or mental illness. These projects demonstrate Megan’s marketing leadership supporting architecture and engineering work that genuinely improves lives and empowers communities.
Prior to joining Guidon, Megan spent nearly 7 years at F.A. Wilhelm Construction Company—a comprehensive construction firm with affiliated companies spanning HVAC, electrical, fire protection, commissioning, and mechanical and balance testing—where she led collaborative marketing strategies across multiple business units. Her advancement from Marketing Coordinator to Senior Marketer to Virtual Construction Engineer reflects technical acumen and strategic growth mindset that distinguishes her AEC marketing leadership.
