May leads transportation marketing strategy for AECOM, the world’s premier infrastructure consulting firm with $16 billion in annual revenue and 51,000 professionals delivering projects in 160 countries. As Marketing Manager in the Orange County office, she oversees comprehensive marketing initiatives for design and program/construction management pursuits, managing over $100 million in yearly contract value for transportation projects across Southern California.
Her extensive expertise spans new business development, proposal writing, and project administration with specialized knowledge in transportation infrastructure marketing. May brings strategic approach to supporting major transportation initiatives including the California High-Speed Rail Authority Program Management Support Services and other significant public sector infrastructure projects. She excels at managing and collaborating with diverse multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic objectives while building strong client relationships.
With more than 20 years of AEC industry experience, May has contributed to marketing excellence throughout her career progression from Project Accountant to Marketing Manager to Director of Administration. Her comprehensive understanding of both the technical and business development aspects of infrastructure projects enables effective marketing support for complex transportation, rail, and transit initiatives serving California’s rapidly growing communities.
May demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification and extensive engagement with Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), where she has served in multiple influential roles advancing diversity and professional opportunities for women in the transportation industry. Currently serving as WTS Pacific West Regional Council Representative since 2023, May provides strategic leadership for one of the nation’s largest WTS regions spanning Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.
Her distinguished WTS leadership journey began in 2005 and includes service as Chapter President (2016-2018), Membership Chair (2013-2014), Gala Chair (2019), Corporate Relations Chair, and Diversity Chair—demonstrating sustained commitment to professional development and industry engagement. Under her presidential leadership, WTS Orange County strengthened its scholarship programs, expanded networking opportunities, and enhanced professional development initiatives that benefit hundreds of transportation professionals throughout Southern California.
May’s dedication to advancing diversity and inclusion earned her recognition with the WTS Orange County Chapter 2007 Rosa Parks Diversity Award and 2009 Member of the Year Award. The Rosa Parks Diversity Award honors individuals who exhibit extraordinary efforts in facilitating professional opportunities for women and minorities in the transportation field, while the Member of the Year award recognizes outstanding chapter contribution and engagement.
Her current role as Pacific West Regional Council Representative extends her influence across multiple states, coordinating regional initiatives, supporting chapter development, and advocating for women’s professional advancement throughout the western United States. May brings significant experience in professional development through her active WTS engagement and commitment to transportation industry best practices.
