Mark leads client development strategy for AE7, a global multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm designed to operate at world scale. He guides business development initiatives across diverse markets including commercial workplace, education, mixed-use development, residential, healthcare, hospitality, retail, destination development, public and civic projects, waterfront development, and island development. His role encompasses fostering long-term client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and positioning AE7’s comprehensive services across offices spanning the globe.
With over 35 years of comprehensive experience in architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate, Mark brings deep expertise in business development, client account management, marketing strategy, public relations, sales management, and CRM implementation. His career spans multiple sectors of the built environment including higher education, healthcare, workplace, aviation, retail, housing, research and development, K-12 education, federal and state government, and real estate development at both regional and national levels.

Mark’s contributions to advancing AEC marketing in the Pittsburgh region include founding the SMPS Pittsburgh Chapter, establishing a professional community that has supported business development and marketing professionals throughout Western Pennsylvania for years. As a founding member and Past President, Mark helped create programming, networking opportunities, and professional development resources that strengthened the regional AEC marketing community. His chapter leadership laid the groundwork for sustained professional connections and knowledge sharing among Pittsburgh’s architecture, engineering, and construction marketing professionals.
Throughout his career, Mark has championed relationship-building and integrity-driven business development as cornerstones of AEC marketing success. His 35+ years of experience span major transitions in the industry, from traditional marketing approaches to digital transformation, CRM adoption, and strategic positioning in increasingly competitive markets. Mark’s expertise encompasses the full spectrum of professional services marketing, from proposal development and client account management to strategic planning and sales leadership.
His professional development includes specialized training from Harvard Graduate School of Design, complementing his business foundation from Robert Morris University. Mark also holds a Pennsylvania Real Estate License, adding depth to his understanding of development and real estate projects. Beyond professional pursuits, Mark serves as a coach for The First Tee of Pittsburgh, combining his business acumen with community service supporting youth development through golf.
