Maggie leads comprehensive marketing and business development strategy for Westlake Consultants, a woman-founded civil engineering, land surveying, and land use planning firm serving Oregon since 1983. As Associate Principal, she develops strategic marketing and communication plans, researches industry trends, leads business development initiatives, and helps shape company practices and policies. Her expertise centers on positioning Westlake’s specialized capabilities in construction surveying, 3D laser scanning, precision industrial measurement, and renewable energy development.
With 15 years of AEC marketing experience at Westlake, Maggie brings specialized knowledge in civil engineering and land surveying marketing, having joined the firm in 2010 and earned her Associate promotion in 2020. Her career focuses on business development for public and private sector clients across Oregon, including support for major Portland metro construction projects, commercial and industrial site development, and community infrastructure initiatives.
Maggie holds a degree from Oregon State University and brings unique interdisciplinary perspective, having previously developed award-winning community partnership programs connecting private sector resources with public education initiatives. She is a special member of Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon (PLSO), demonstrating her commitment to understanding the technical foundation of surveying services that define Westlake’s market identity.
Maggie demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and active service on SMPS Oregon Chapter’s Programs Committee, where she contributes to developing educational programming and networking events that advance AEC marketing excellence throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her involvement with SMPS includes supporting major regional events such as the SMPS Pacific Regional Conference, which brings together hundreds of marketing professionals for professional development and industry connection.
Beyond SMPS, Maggie champions STEM education and community development through advisory committee service with South Metro STEM Partnership and The Clackamas Bookshelf nonprofit, creating pathways for young people to discover careers in engineering, surveying, and technical fields. She actively promotes land surveying as a profession, presenting at Oregon CTE (Career and Technical Education) conferences to educate high school students and educators about surveying and geomatics career opportunities.
Earlier in her career, Maggie developed and led ProGrass Gardens for Kids, an award-winning community partnership program that provided up to $10,000 in labor, design, and educational assistance to public elementary schools creating gardens and nature spaces. The program earned recognition from the Portland Business Journal with a Corporate Philanthropy Award in 2009, demonstrating her commitment to leveraging private sector resources for community benefit.
