Lisa leads comprehensive higher education strategy and business development initiatives for HED, a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm founded in 1908 with more than 400 professionals across nine U.S. offices. As Associate and Higher Education Strategy & Development Leader, she drives strategic planning and marketing excellence for one of the nation’s largest design firms specializing in healthcare, science and technology, higher education, workplace design, and community facilities.
Her expertise spans higher education campus planning, healthcare facility design, science and technology projects, and workplace environments serving institutional, public sector, and private development clients. Lisa brings specialized knowledge in proposal development, strategic business development, and client relationship management across diverse AEC sectors. With over 25 years of experience leading corporate marketing and business development for professional service organizations, she has contributed to marketing excellence at prominent firms including HED, NORR, Walbridge, SPEC Services, and Giffels Associates.
Her comprehensive understanding of integrated planning processes and strategic marketing enables effective positioning for complex projects while building sustainable client relationships and advancing organizational growth objectives.
Lisa demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification and active involvement with the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) North Central Regional Council, representing higher education planning professionals across 16 states and Canadian provinces including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Manitoba, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Ontario, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Her SCUP leadership role connects campus planning, facilities management, and design professionals throughout the North Central region, supporting integrated planning excellence for colleges and universities facing unprecedented challenges in enrollment, resource management, and campus transformation. This regional leadership reflects her deep commitment to advancing the higher education planning community through professional development, knowledge sharing, and strategic networking initiatives.
Lisa served as President of CREW Detroit from January 2020 through December 2022, leading one of Michigan’s premier commercial real estate networking organizations with over 150 professional women representing every discipline in the industry including architects, attorneys, brokers, contractors, designers, developers, engineers, and lenders. Her board leadership advanced business development, leadership development, and career outreach initiatives supporting women’s advancement in commercial real estate.
Her 25+ years of experience spanning multiple prominent AEC firms provides valuable industry perspective that enhances both individual and organizational professional excellence across diverse market sectors.
