Lindsay brings sophisticated marketing and business development leadership to construction, professional services, and entrepreneurial ventures. As Partner and Head of Marketing & Business Development at BBI Construction Management, she guides strategic growth for a locally-owned firm that has served North Central Florida’s construction needs since 1978. Her role encompasses market positioning, pursuit strategy, brand development, and cross-functional leadership supporting the firm’s expansion into its next chapter.
With 20+ years of AEC industry experience, Lindsay specializes in construction marketing, proposal management, and business development strategies across commercial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. Her expertise spans general contracting, construction management, and design-build delivery methods serving public sector clients and private development throughout Florida markets.
Beyond construction, Lindsay co-owns D1 Training Gainesville, bringing athletic-based fitness training to youth and adult athletes. This entrepreneurial venture reflects her systems-focused, growth-driven approach to building businesses that create lasting community impact.
Lindsay demonstrates exceptional thought leadership through both SMPS chapter involvement and her pioneering work in AEC marketing education. She founded Marketers Take Flight in 2012, creating proposal management and career development training that has served hundreds of AEC marketing professionals nationwide. From 2020 to 2025, she hosted the Marketers Take Flight Podcast, which earned recognition as a Top 50 Marketing Podcast of 2022, providing career guidance on mastering marketing, productivity, and personal growth for AEC professionals.
Her SMPS Central Florida leadership includes service as Education Director and Membership Director, where she designed professional development programming and managed growth initiatives that strengthened the chapter’s regional influence. Lindsay also served as advisor to the SMPS Southeastern Regional Conference, contributing strategic guidance for one of SMPS’s most dynamic regional events.
As an instructor for SMPS national education programs, Lindsay developed and delivered content for the A/E/COURSES series, teaching capture planning, proposal coordination, and business development fundamentals to marketing professionals nationwide. Her published work includes three influential articles: “Business Development Basics: Become a BD Rock Star,” “Positioning to Win: Knowledge is Power and Differentiation is Key,” and “10 Proposal Coordination Mistakes to Avoid.”
Lindsay’s 13-year tenure at Full Sail Partners included recognition for implementing innovative CRM strategies and marketing automation solutions for AEC firms. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Florida (2004) and earned a Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing from UC Irvine (2017). Additional certifications include Full Focus Planner Certified Pro from Michael Hyatt & Company.
