Laura leads comprehensive marketing strategy as Senior Associate and North Central Division Marketing Manager for Terracon, one of the nation’s largest employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firms with more than 6,000 professionals across 175+ locations nationwide. She oversees marketing and business development for the North Central region, directing brand management, proposal coordination, and client relationship development for a firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services.
Her expertise spans technical services marketing for environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, materials testing, facilities engineering, and construction observation serving public agencies, private developers, and institutional clients. Laura brings specialized knowledge in employee-owned firm culture, multi-office marketing coordination, and strategic positioning for infrastructure, development, and environmental projects across the Midwest and nationally.
With extensive AEC marketing experience spanning respected financial services and retail organizations before joining Terracon, Laura has contributed progressive marketing leadership through roles including Senior Marketing Specialist and Division Manager positions. Her career includes significant experience at Kornitzer Capital Management, Commerce Bank, and Best Buy, providing diverse business development and marketing expertise.
Laura demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification earned in 2018 and distinguished service as President of SMPS Kansas City, one of the most active chapters in the Midwest region. As chapter president, she provides strategic vision, guides board governance, and advances professional development programming for hundreds of AEC marketing professionals across the Kansas City metropolitan area spanning Kansas and Missouri.
Her presidential leadership includes coordinating monthly networking events, educational programs, CPSM study groups, mentorship initiatives, and community service projects. Laura has championed charitable initiatives including winter wear drives for KidsTLC, demonstrating her commitment to using SMPS Kansas City’s collective influence for community benefit. She serves as primary point of contact for chapter communications, job posting coordination, and member engagement.
Laura actively participates in SMPS regional conferences including the Midwest/Valley Regional Conference (MVRC), where she deepens professional connections and brings valuable insights back to Kansas City members. Her conference participation demonstrates commitment to staying current with AEC marketing trends, AI integration, and innovative business development strategies.
