Kyle leads marketing, communications, and business development strategy for Arup’s Americas region, a global design, engineering, and advisory firm with over 17,000 professionals across 90 offices in 35 countries delivering innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure and built environment challenges worldwide. As Principal and Americas Marketing & Communications Leader based in New York, she guides a 60-person team developing client and market strategies that support long-term business growth and differentiated brand positioning across the United States, Canada, and South America. As an officer of the Americas Region Board, she shapes strategic direction for one of the world’s most influential design and engineering firms.
Her expertise spans global marketing leadership, strategic positioning, business development facilitation, and communications excellence for complex multidisciplinary projects including sustainable infrastructure, climate resilience, cultural institutions, transportation systems, and iconic architecture. Kyle brings specialized knowledge in sustainable design integration, leveraging her LEED AP credential to promote Arup’s vision of shaping a better world through projects addressing climate change, urban resilience, and social equity.
With over 25 years of professional services marketing experience in the AEC industry, she has built a distinguished career supporting design, engineering, and construction firms across both the United States and international markets. Her comprehensive background includes six years as Marketing Director at DeSimone Consulting Engineers, where she led global marketing and business development for a 250-person structural engineering firm with nine offices spanning the United States, China, and United Arab Emirates, and marketing leadership in Beijing for Environetics Design Group serving corporate and healthcare markets throughout China and Taiwan.
Kyle demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and extensive service to SMPS New York, where she served on the Leadership Committee and was featured as Member of the Month in December 2015, recognizing her contributions to advancing AEC marketing excellence throughout the New York metropolitan region. Her SMPS NY leadership includes serving as Leadership Director on the 2019-2020 Board of Directors during the chapter’s strategic transformation and rebranding initiative that repositioned the organization through expanded diversity and inclusion programs.
As a principal at Arup since 2020 and officer of the Americas Region Board, Kyle provides strategic oversight for marketing and communications across a region supporting landmark projects including the Sydney Opera House structural engineering legacy, Centre Pompidou innovative design, Beijing National Stadium for the 2008 Olympics, Singapore Sports Hub, and contemporary sustainable infrastructure addressing climate change and urban resilience challenges globally.
Her architectural education foundation includes a Master of Architecture from Rice University and Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History from Brown University, providing unique perspective on design thinking, visual communication, and storytelling that informs her strategic marketing approach. This combination of architectural knowledge and marketing expertise enables her to translate complex technical design and engineering concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with clients and stakeholders.
Kyle’s international career experience includes marketing leadership in Beijing, China, where she lived and worked for several years supporting design and construction firms in rapidly developing Asian markets. Her global perspective encompasses understanding diverse cultural contexts, international business development, and cross-cultural communication essential for supporting Arup’s worldwide practice.
As a LEED Accredited Professional, Kyle integrates sustainability expertise into marketing strategy, positioning Arup’s climate action work, net zero carbon commitments, and whole lifecycle carbon assessments that prioritize decarbonization and climate adaptation across all building projects. Her sustainability credentials demonstrate commitment to advancing environmental stewardship and responsible design practices throughout the AEC industry.
