Professional expertise

Kristie leads comprehensive marketing strategy and team operations for Nobis Group, a 100% employee-owned engineering and environmental consulting firm serving clients throughout the Northeast and beyond. As Director of Marketing & Strategy, she implements streamlined processes, shares innovative techniques with the marketing team, and helps leadership focus on strategic advantages and pre-positioning for complex pursuits. Her role emphasizes marketing best practices, design excellence, and mentorship that strengthens both individual capabilities and organizational effectiveness.

Her expertise spans civil engineering, geotechnical services, environmental remediation, site development, transportation infrastructure, and water supply projects serving public and private sector clients throughout New England. Kristie brings specialized knowledge in proposal management, graphic design mastery, strategic win theme development, and cross-functional coordination that keeps both marketing and technical staff on track throughout pursuit cycles.

With over 14 years of progressive experience in the AEC industry working with architects, engineers, and consultants, Kristie has developed a comprehensive understanding of design project workflows. Her background includes significant leadership roles at HGA (Hammel, Green and Abrahamson), a nationally prominent architecture and engineering firm, and as Marketing Department Head at GPI (Gale Associates), where she helped teams achieve extraordinary win rate improvements—110% over 4.5 years at one firm and 138% over two years at another. Her artistic foundation and Adobe Creative Suite expertise enable her to transform ideas into visually compelling designs that support compelling proposal narratives while implementing firm deadlines and review processes that significantly improve proposal quality.

Industry leadership

Kristie demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and distinguished service to SMPS Boston, where she received the 2024 Chapter Leader of the Year Award—the chapter’s highest recognition for volunteer excellence. She served as Director of Professional Development from 2022-2024, leading educational programming that strengthened professional capabilities across the New England AEC marketing community.

Currently, Kristie serves on four SMPS Boston committees simultaneously—Professional Development, Communications, CPSM Certification, and Special Events—contributing to the chapter’s mission of advancing marketing excellence. She has presented at local and regional SMPS programs, sharing expertise on proposal best practices and successful photoshoot strategies that help marketers create compelling visual narratives. Her commitment to professional development extends beyond committee service to active mentorship of emerging marketing professionals.

Kristie’s leadership approach emphasizes people-first management, transparency, and principled decision-making. Colleagues describe her as someone who “advocates fiercely for her team, values transparency, and never loses sight of the bigger picture.” Her ability to create safe, equitable work environments while navigating difficult dynamics with calm professionalism sets her apart as a respected leader. As one colleague noted, “She leads with calm, creating a safe space not just for her team, but for her colleagues as well.”

Her professional journey demonstrates sustained career progression, advancing from coordinator roles through Marketing Manager positions at HGA to her current Director-level responsibilities at Nobis Group. At each firm, she implemented organizational systems, refined proposal review processes with firm deadlines for quality control, and helped leadership think more strategically about competitive positioning.
