Katy leads client experience and strategic initiatives for Hinge Marketing, the nation’s leading marketing and branding firm for professional services with specialization in architecture, engineering, construction, technology, consulting, and government contracting sectors. As Managing Director of CX & Strategy, she oversees high-level client relationships, strategic guidance delivery, and ensures Hinge’s research, marketing, and design teams appreciate each client’s unique perspective while developing programs that engage stakeholders at every organizational level.
Her expertise spans professional services branding with deep specialization in new brand development, internal communications, mergers and acquisitions strategy, employer branding, and the Visible Expert® program—Hinge’s proprietary methodology for transforming ordinary professionals into thought leaders, rainmakers, and industry superstars based on 15+ years of groundbreaking research into best-performing firms. Katy brings two decades of marketing communications experience with over half spent in-house at firms including Constellis (global defense contractor) and Deltek (construction software leader), enabling her to understand client challenges from “both sides of the table.”
Her educational foundation from James Madison University in Media Arts and Design with Corporate Communications concentration provides distinctive capabilities in strategic messaging, stakeholder engagement, and organizational communications. This academic background combined with 20 years of hands-on experience enables Katy to approach professional services marketing with both creative excellence and analytical rigor informed by Hinge’s extensive research into high-growth firms.

Katy’s work helping implement this program has elevated countless AEC professionals to industry prominence.
Katy’s previous leadership as Marketing and Communications Director at Constellis—a global defense contractor with growing brand portfolio—developed expertise in complex organizational communications, multi-brand management, internal stakeholder engagement, and navigating highly regulated industries. This in-house experience informs her current agency work, enabling authentic understanding of client challenges including budget constraints, internal politics, competing priorities, and need for measurable ROI.
Her earlier roles at Deltek (construction project management software leader serving 30,000+ AEC firms) and VNU Business Media provided foundational professional services industry knowledge. The Deltek experience was particularly valuable—working for company serving the AEC market developed deep understanding of industry dynamics, buyer behaviors, technology adoption patterns, and business challenges facing architecture and engineering firms.
