Katie leads comprehensive marketing strategy and campaign execution for Perkins&Will, supporting the firm’s mission of challenging conventional design thinking to create transformative places where people live, learn, work, play, and heal. As Senior Marketing Manager and Associate at one of the world’s leading interdisciplinary design practices founded in 1935 with over 2,600 professionals across 30+ studios worldwide, she oversees strategic communications, proposal coordination, digital content management, and client relationship development for a firm consistently ranked among the Top 2 U.S. Architecture Firms with $720 million in architecture revenue (2025).
Her expertise spans architecture, interior design, urban design, and sustainable planning marketing with deep specialization in social media strategy, creative content development, and multi-channel campaign execution. Katie brings comprehensive knowledge of AEC marketing best practices gained through progressive experience at Perkins&Will since 2014, advancing from Marketing Coordinator to Senior Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Manager, reflecting sustained excellence and increasing strategic responsibility within one of the profession’s most recognized brands.
Her educational foundation from the University of Georgia’s prestigious Grady College of Journalism—combined with early career experience in public relations (Cookerly PR), corporate marketing (The Coca-Cola Company’s 125th Anniversary), commercial interiors (Shaw Industries), and retail (The Home Depot)—provides distinctive capabilities in crafting compelling brand narratives that position Perkins&Will’s award-winning work for competitive advantage in global markets.
Katie demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification and sustained active engagement with SMPS Atlanta, one of the most influential chapters in the Southeast. Her commitment to advancing professional services marketing excellence has contributed to Perkins&Will’s recognition as a leader in sustainable design innovation—earning Metropolis magazine’s “Firm of the Year” (2022) for climate action and social justice leadership, and Fast Company’s “World’s Most Innovative Companies in Architecture” three times, with inclusion on Fast Company’s “Brands That Matter” list as the only architecture practice globally to earn this distinction.
As Senior Marketing Manager and Associate at Perkins&Will, Katie contributes to marketing leadership for a firm recognized with hundreds of design awards annually and named 2023 A+ Awards Jury Winner for “Best Sustainable Firm.” Her work supports the firm’s “Living Design” philosophy that emphasizes poetics and beauty, conceptual clarity, research and innovation, technology and tectonics, community and inclusion, resilience and regeneration, and health and well-being.
Katie’s 11+ years at Perkins&Will (2014-present) represent sustained commitment to a single organization’s growth and evolution, demonstrating loyalty, adaptability, and increasing strategic responsibility through progressive role advancement. Her career progression from Coordinator to Senior Coordinator to Manager to Senior Manager reflects consistent excellence and expanding influence within one of architecture’s most prestigious global practices.
Her enthusiasm for the architectural profession extends beyond daily marketing responsibilities to include creative event development and community building. Katie has been instrumental in organizing Perkins&Will Chicago’s annual Skyline Soirée, an elegant networking event that brings together clients, partners, consultants, and colleagues to celebrate design excellence, build relationships, and enjoy Chicago’s iconic skyline views. This signature event reflects her understanding that successful AEC marketing requires both strategic communications expertise and authentic relationship-building in memorable settings.
