Emily leads strategic communications initiatives for Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects, a nationally recognized multidisciplinary firm serving federal, state, and local government clients across nine states. As Senior Communications Specialist, she develops and executes comprehensive internal and external communication strategies that support the firm’s infrastructure engineering, architecture, and planning services, spanning transportation, water resources, federal projects, and public facilities.
Her expertise encompasses transportation infrastructure projects, public sector communications, and community outreach for complex engineering initiatives. Emily brings specialized knowledge in public information management, stakeholder engagement, and crisis communications for billion-dollar infrastructure projects. With over eight years of AEC industry experience, she has led communications efforts for some of Colorado’s most significant transportation projects, including the landmark Central 70 interstate reconstruction.
Her strategic approach to translating complex technical concepts into accessible community messaging has been instrumental in building public trust and maintaining transparency on high-profile infrastructure initiatives throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Emily demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification achievement and sustained commitment to advancing women in the transportation industry through Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Colorado. Her extensive volunteer leadership includes serving as chair of multiple WTS Colorado committees from 2018 to present, including the Membership and Recognitions Committee, where she successfully coordinated the chapter’s premier Annual Awards Luncheon for three consecutive years with growing attendance each year.
As WTS Colorado Emerging Leader of the Year recipient in 2020, Emily was recognized for her outstanding committee leadership during unprecedented challenges, maintaining strong membership engagement throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Her current role as Special Events Committee Co-Chair continues her pattern of building meaningful professional relationships and creating networking opportunities that connect hundreds of transportation and infrastructure professionals across Colorado.
Emily’s communications expertise has been featured in national infrastructure publications and major media coverage of the Central 70 Project, where she served as the primary public-facing communications coordinator managing complex stakeholder relationships on Colorado’s largest-ever transportation project. Her ability to navigate sensitive community concerns while maintaining project transparency has positioned her as a trusted voice in infrastructure communications.
Beyond chapter leadership, Emily maintains active engagement in professional development through Arizona State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication, and continues to advance her expertise in strategic communications planning, community outreach, and event coordination that strengthens the AEC marketing profession.
