Darcy leads comprehensive marketing strategies for an award-winning architectural firm at KSS Architects, where she supports a full-service architecture, interior design, and planning partnership with offices in Princeton, Philadelphia, and New York City. As Marketing Director, she drives brand positioning, proposal management, and business development for a firm specializing in education, corporate headquarters, innovation centers, mixed-use developments, and community-focused design serving clients across the Northeast.

Her expertise spans over 20 years in A/E/C marketing, with deep specialization in graphic design, branding and identity development, digital marketing, and strategic communications. Darcy brings comprehensive capabilities in proposal coordination, presentation support, social media strategy, and client relationship cultivation developed across architectural, engineering, and specialty design consulting environments.

With extensive graphic design foundation including environmental graphics, wayfinding systems, and visual communications, Darcy’s marketing leadership integrates creative excellence with strategic business development. Her background spans lighting design consulting, environmental graphic design for corporate and healthcare environments, and multi-disciplinary architectural marketing—creating a distinctive perspective that positions design quality and visual storytelling as essential business development tools in the competitive A/E/C marketplace.

Industry leadership

Darcy demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification and transformative service as President of SMPS Philadelphia (2021-2022), one of the nation’s most active and influential chapters. Her presidency followed progressive leadership roles including President-Elect (2020-2021), Education Director (2018-2020) where she developed CPSM training courses and promoted certification benefits, and Communications Director (2015-2017) overseeing the chapter’s multi-channel marketing strategy.

Named 2024 SMPS Philadelphia Marketer of the Year, Darcy exemplifies the strategic marketing excellence and professional commitment that define certified professionals. Her journey to CPSM certification began as the 2016 SMPS Philadelphia CPSM Scholarship recipient—recognition of her dedication, enthusiasm, and chapter involvement. This full scholarship provided SMPS Boot Camp training, study materials, application fees, and exam costs, launching her path to certification and subsequent chapter leadership.

Darcy’s award-winning marketing campaigns earned multiple SMPS Design Awards including 1st Place and Best in Show for The Lighting Practice’s 30th Anniversary Campaign (digital promotional category), 1st Place for the “We are TLP” LinkedIn Campaign, and Award of Excellence for Social Media. These recognitions demonstrate her creative excellence and strategic digital marketing expertise.

Beyond SMPS, Darcy served as Vice Chair of Marketing & Communications for WTS Philadelphia (2019-2020), disseminating chapter news across social media, website, newsletters, and publications while coordinating graphic design, photography, and event coverage. She also earned recognition as 2014 CREW Philadelphia Chapter Membership Committee MVP for her contributions to commercial real estate networking and professional development.

Her creative entrepreneurial background includes nine years (2005-2014) operating Graphic Designs by Darcy, a freelance graphic design and illustration practice creating logos, brochures, promotional materials, and brand identity systems for diverse clients—demonstrating the design excellence that distinguishes her marketing leadership.
