Carrie Ann drives comprehensive marketing strategy and proposal development as Founder and CEO of Andana Consulting, LLC, an award-winning Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and HUBZone-certified firm she established in 2014 to energize clients’ marketing efforts and help them win the work they want. For more than 20 years, she has worked with organizations to track, pursue, position, and propose on local, state, and federal government solicitations—and private sector opportunities—specializing in professional services firms across architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), and IT communities.
Her expertise spans full-spectrum marketing consulting with deep specialization in proposal management, strategic marketing planning, content creation, and government contracting support. Carrie Ann brings comprehensive knowledge of federal procurement processes, combining marketing excellence with understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements, RFP/RFQ response strategies, and compliance documentation that wins competitive government contracts.
With a career journey from English Literature major and Art History minor at Salisbury University through positions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, art magazine editorial departments, boutique PR agencies, and in-house marketing for architecture, engineering, and general contracting firms, Carrie Ann founded Andana to provide entrepreneurial businesses with all-inclusive marketing team support. Her educational foundation includes an MBA from University of Maryland University College (2012) combined with hands-on experience across diverse sectors—providing valuable cross-industry perspective that enhances strategic positioning for complex professional services pursuits.
Carrie Ann demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her prestigious Fellow designation from the Society of American Military Engineers (F.SAME)—one of the highest honors recognizing sustained excellence, significant contributions, and distinguished service to the military engineering community. Her SAME involvement spans multiple leadership roles including SAME North Atlantic Regional Vice President, SAME Baltimore Post Board Member, and participation on the National Board of Direction and Young Member Council, reflecting deep commitment to advancing infrastructure development supporting military readiness and national security.

Beyond her military engineering community leadership, Carrie Ann graduated from Leadership Maryland’s Class of 2018—one of 50 executives selected from Maryland’s public and private sectors to complete the eight-month hands-on learning program focused on the state’s most vital social, economic, and environmental issues. This prestigious professional development program has built a network of 1,100+ Maryland leaders since 1993, positioning Carrie Ann as a connector across industries and regions throughout the state.
As an SMPS Maryland member since 2003, Carrie Ann has experienced the full spectrum of professional engagement—from presenting at Spring Training sessions as a brand-new industry professional to earning her CPSM certification, attending regional conferences, serving on boards, and watching work colleagues become lifelong friends.
