Professional expertise

Ann leads comprehensive marketing strategy, business development, and brand positioning for TERPconsulting, Nevada’s largest fire protection and code consulting firm with 30+ professionals across six offices nationwide. As Marketing Director based in Las Vegas, she has built the firm’s marketing department into “one of its pillars of strength” utilizing her business development expertise to nurture TERPconsulting’s robust profile and sterling reputation in the fire protection engineering industry.

Her expertise spans AEC strategic marketing with specialized knowledge in business development, branding, client relationship cultivation, proposal coordination, and strategic communications across fire protection engineering, life safety consulting, and accessibility services. Ann brings exceptional cross-industry perspective gained through 15 years as owner of a graphic design and marketing business, plus 5+ years at R&R Partners—Nevada’s largest advertising agency—where as Account Supervisor she managed the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority account, promoting Las Vegas tourism domestically and internationally.

With over 25 years of comprehensive marketing experience including 7+ years in fire protection engineering since joining TERPconsulting in 2017, Ann has built a distinguished career characterized by strategic creativity, relationship development, and commitment to building lasting, productive partnerships. Her comprehensive knowledge of TERP’s full-service capabilities—encompassing fire protection system design, code consulting, smoke control, accessibility reviews, commissioning and testing, and special inspections—enables effective marketing leadership for a firm founded in 2010 that serves prestigious hospitality, gaming, healthcare, industrial, and commercial clients nationwide.

Industry leadership

Ann demonstrates exceptional professional leadership through her CPSM certification (earned 2022), transformative service as SMPS Las Vegas Chapter President (2021-2022), and ongoing role as National Chapter Liaison connecting the Las Vegas chapter with SMPS national organization. Her SMPS membership since 2017 coincides with her TERPconsulting tenure, reflecting immediate commitment to professional development and industry engagement upon entering the AEC sector.

As Past President during 2021-2022, Ann provided executive leadership during challenging pandemic recovery period, guiding chapter programming, member engagement, and professional development initiatives serving Las Vegas AEC marketing professionals. Her current National Chapter Liaison role positions her as key connector between local chapter activities and SMPS national resources, ensuring Las Vegas members benefit from national programming while contributing regional insights to national initiatives.

Ann’s leadership extends beyond SMPS to building TERPconsulting’s marketing excellence. Since joining in 2017 with the explicit purpose of “building the company’s marketing department into one of the firm’s many pillars of strength,” she has utilized branding and marketing experience to develop the engineering firm’s robust profile in the fire protection industry while nurturing lasting, productive partnerships with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Her advertising agency pedigree provides sophisticated marketing strategy capabilities. Managing the LVCVA account at R&R Partners required coordinating complex domestic and international tourism campaigns, skills directly applicable to promoting TERPconsulting’s services to major resort properties, gaming establishments, healthcare facilities, and commercial developers requiring fire protection engineering expertise.

As woman-founded firm champion (TERPconsulting co-founded by Natasha Overman), Ann’s leadership supports diversity in fire protection engineering and consulting—an industry where women leaders remain underrepresented but increasingly influential in shaping safety standards and code development.
