Andrea brings exceptional strategic communications and corporate marketing leadership to energy infrastructure and construction services, currently serving as Manager, Communications at Quanta Services, Inc., one of North America’s largest specialty contractors providing comprehensive infrastructure solutions for electric power, renewable energy, pipeline, and communications industries. In this role, she oversees corporate communications strategies while managing internal communications platforms that connect thousands of employees across the organization.
Her comprehensive expertise spans strategic planning, proposal writing, public speaking, marketing communications, and corporate branding with over 28 years of experience across AEC and energy infrastructure sectors. Andrea specializes in developing communications strategies that align organizational objectives with stakeholder engagement while building strong internal and external brand narratives.
With a BA in Journalism emphasizing Public Relations from Sam Houston State University, Andrea excels at crafting compelling messages for diverse audiences, managing complex proposals, and delivering strategic counsel to executive leadership. Her passion lies in advancing the marketing profession within the AEC industry through active chapter leadership, professional development initiatives, and mentorship of emerging professionals.
Andrea demonstrates extraordinary professional leadership through both her CPSM certification and her prestigious FSMPS designation, representing the highest level of achievement in AEC marketing. As a Fellow of SMPS, she has been recognized for sustained excellence and exceptional contributions to advancing the professional services marketing profession through transformative chapter leadership, national committee service, and unwavering commitment to community impact.
Her most significant national leadership achievement came through her two-year term as SMPS Foundation Trustee (2021-2023), where she served at the national level alongside industry leaders to govern the Foundation’s research initiatives, scholarship programs, and professional development resources. As a Foundation Trustee, Andrea helped shape the strategic direction of SMPS’s research and scholarship activities, providing critical oversight that advances knowledge and careers throughout the AEC marketing profession.
Andrea’s chapter leadership includes distinguished service as a Director on the SMPS National Board (2019-2021), where she contributed to Society-wide governance, strategic planning, and policy development. This national board service positioned her among elite leaders shaping SMPS’s direction at the highest organizational level, influencing initiatives that impact over 7,300 members nationwide.
Her Houston chapter leadership demonstrates sustained commitment through multiple board roles and transformative programming. As 2013 Design Awards Gala Co-Chair, Andrea made the bold decision to combine the Design Awards Gala with the annual Casa de Esperanza fundraising effort—breaking from long tradition and exceeding the fundraising goal with a record $33,000 donation, making it the largest contribution in the chapter’s 20+ year history of supporting the organization. This innovative approach demonstrated strategic thinking that honored tradition while creating greater community impact.
Andrea has received multiple chapter honors including SMPS Houston New Member of the Year, SMPS Houston Rock of the Chapter (recognizing sustained backbone contributions to chapter success), SMPS Houston Marketing Excellence Award, and SMPS Houston Member of the Year—validating her comprehensive excellence across chapter engagement, professional achievement, and service commitment.

Officer for eight years, helping multiple AEC firms develop strategic marketing approaches.
