General Dynamics IT Wins $12.6M Navy Contract for MK-41 Launch System Repairs
General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. of Falls Church, Virginia, has been awarded a $12.58 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide full program management, technical support, labor, materials, equipment, and facilities required to repair and refurbish MK-41 Vertical Launch Systems aboard U.S. Navy and other military vessels. The contract includes options that could increase the total value to $25.54 million if fully exercised. Work will be performed primarily within a 50-mile radius of Norfolk, Virginia, with base performance expected to conclude by December 23, 2026, and extended through December 23, 2027 if all options are exercised. Initial funding of $2,000 in FY 2026 Navy operations and maintenance funds has been obligated to satisfy the minimum guarantee and will expire at the end of the fiscal year. The contract was competitively awarded through SAM.gov with two proposals received, and the contracting authority is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, Norfolk, Virginia (Contract No. N50054-26-D-0007).
