Boeing Secures $15.5M Air Force Mod for VC-25B Communications Capabilities

The Boeing Co., Tukwila, Washington, has been awarded a maximum $15,500,000 modification (P00161) to a previously awarded contract (FA8625-16-C-6599) for the expansion of communications capabilities for the delivery of two fully mission capable VC-25B aircraft. The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $4,315,589,245 from $4,300,089,245. The modification is separate from the contract’s firm-fixed-price engineering and manufacturing development efforts. Work will be performed at San Antonio, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2026. Fiscal 2025 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $500,000 are being obligated; and fiscal 2026 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $4,500,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
