Abrams Evolution: GDLS Awarded $150M for R&D, Testing, and Upgrades Through 2027

General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Michigan, was awarded a $150,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the Abrams Engineering Program. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2027. Fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation, Army funds in the amount of $150,000,000 were obligated at the time of the award.
