$21M Boost for Red Six Aerospace: Developing Tactical Augmented Reality Systems for the Air Force
Red Six Aerospace LLC, Orlando, Florida, was awarded a $20,975,050 firm-fixed-price strategic funding increase contract for augmented reality for aircrew and special teams’ development and integration. This contract provides the engineering and integration efforts required to advance, develop, integrate, and install the Red 6 Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality System. Work will be performed at Hurlburt Field, Florida, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 2027. This contract was a sole source acquisition under Small Business Innovation Research Phase II. Fiscal 2024 research and development funds in the amount of $7,719,549 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Installation Contracting Center, Hurlburt Field, Florida, is the contracting activity (FA0021-25-C-0001).
